You can also drive down to the lake so you don’t have to carry a thing. Pack up all your beach gear for the day and head on down to the lake to enjoy swimming, walking, water skiing, kite surfing or just to read your book in the sun. And if you forget something you can just run up and grab it. Use Lake Hawea as your base and visit the surround areas or just stay put, feet up and relax.
